How Blossom Center Began
Founded in 2022 by Mr. Okoduwa Gabriel, Blossom Center started with a passionate commitment to reach active-poor and low-income women who lacked access to traditional banking services.
After working for four years with Lift Above Poverty Organisation (LAPO)—one of Nigeria’s premier microfinance institutions—the founder recognized a crucial gap: thousands of hard-working women running small businesses in urban and rural areas desperately needed accessible, responsible micro-finance services to grow their enterprises.
Starting with just five women in Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area, each given ₦30,000 to boost their small trade, Blossom Center has expanded into a powerful catalyst for economic self-reliance.
